First up, Leonard Rutan, daughter Marni Rutan, and colleague Ella Arvie clinked cocktails with long-time customers at his eponymous fashion stop, all to commemorate a quarter century. Seeing silver: Nancy Allen, Tony and Isaac Arnold, Isla and Tommy Reckling, Dominic Cellitti, and Mary Ann and Carrington Marni Weems … Blocks away, Biscuit unfurled its home-goods Rutan shop; owner Bailey McCarthy knows how to throw an enticing bash. Truffleberry Market was enlisted for bites, which included some very clever uses of biscuits as appetizers. Talk about a gala evening: Chair quartet Cathy and Joe Cleary and Niloufar and Amir Molavi, plus a team of all-star women chefs led by A Fare Extraordinaire, crafted culinary enchantments for the 350 supporters who raised more than $340,000 toward empowering women entering the workplace.
