Hawaiian
luau was the
inspiration
for the Bayou
Preservation
Association's fund-raiser, this
year themed Lei-d on the
Bayou. Supporters — some in
hula skirts — were greeted with
traditional leis at hosts Clayton
and Shel Erikson's Memorial
home, where a bayou passage
came alive with tiki torches at
dusk and hula dancers swayed
to the steel-guitar stylings of
Herb Remington. Mai tais
were served from cabanastyle huts, as well as tropical
treats prepped by A Fare
Extraordinaire. On island time:
Jana and Scott Arnoldy, Terry
Hershey, Claire and John
Caudill, and Janet Cockrell.
