A n international set came out to toast Art of the World Gallery's opening for Javier Marín, a two-time Venice Biennale-exhibited talent. The Mexico City-based sculptor's latest show, "Masterworks," marked his first exhibition in Houston. His dramatic works — many of giant heads powerfully gazing off into the distance or with lips pursed, summoning an imagined wind — were a beautiful, surreal backdrop for the gleaming interiors of the gallery. Accompanying the works were bites catered by Frida Valentina's chef Adriana Avendaño; wine pairings by Beviamo International; and the artist's catalog, published by Art of the World, which many guests toted home.
