And talk about the perfect bookish venue: the Julia Ideson Library. Cochairmen Isabel and Danny David and Heather and Rob Safi honored Linsay and Jeremy Radcliffe at the nearly sold-out event, presented by H-E-B and complete with a seated dinner crafted by Jackson and Company, with cupcakes from Sprinkles. The former head of talent for Saturday Night Live, Houston native Meredith Walker, headlined, making for a spirited host with humorous patter between spelling challenges. Fourteen teams competed until the Houston Bar Association was crowned winner for their prowess with the word ���enceinte.��� Bees in the hive: Charles Butt, Gracie Cavnar, Marita Fairbanks, Cullen Geiselman, Molly Hubbard, Soraya McClelland, Claire and Rick Thielke, and Laurie and Alfred Moran.
