letter publisher ANNE LAHO 10 W elcome to 2020! Our Dallas office has adopted the New '20s as their moniker for this upcoming decade. (They first spied it on the cover of Tatler magazine.) Whether or not the name sticks, we are thrilled to welcome the roaring new decade, as it marks the silver anniversary of PaperCity. In February, we'll toast to 25 years in publication with a fête at Neiman Marcus. A wonderful partner since the magazine's inception, Neiman's recently helped us celebrate our Dallas 20th anniversary, as well as the launch of our Fort Worth edition (look for the next issue of the biannual magazine come March). We're moving forward with 2020's full slate of special projects. First up is always the PaperCity social calendar, our curated date- book for spring's can't-miss parties, benefits, and art events (page 64). We also invite you to visit our beautifully redesigned Events section on our website for up-to-the-minute coverage of benefits, concerts, museum openings, art exhibitions, and foodie happenings. Our next endeavor is Texas Design Week Houston (March 23 – 27). TXDW is a week-long series of design and art talks by noted interior designers, architects, artists, product designers, and visionaries, with a full program of book signings, pop-up shops, salon talks, and cocktail events. Monday, March 23, is the annual PaperCity Design Awards. So, book that photographer, stat, and enter your design projects before the deadline — Monday, March 9 — at designawards.papercitymag.com. The roster of judges — lauded national interior designers and architects — will be announced soon. Check back often to see the updated TXDW schedule as we add great names in design, at texasdesignweek.com. We also have an exciting announcement out of Dallas. This month, Michalene Busico — formerly of The Dallas Morning News, Robb Report, Los Angeles Times, and The New York Times — begins as Dallas editor in chief, while Caitlin Clark steps into her role as Dallas digital editorial director. We're excited to welcome two talents who bring strong editorial backgrounds and align with PaperCity's voice. We hope you're as excited as we are to embark upon the New '20s. Happy New Year!
