But there's at least one serious gap in his culinary knowledge: Kimmel admits that he knows little about Houston's food scene. Chris Shepherd is working on changing that. University of Houston is making a play to be a campus of the future, unleashing a fl eet of 30 food-delivery robots that are turning heads and making mealtime a tech experience. Starship Technologies' autonomous delivery robots traverse sidewalks, climb curbs, cross streets, and easily navigate after dark on their own. Food orderers get a notifi cation when their personal Wall-E arrives at their building's nearest outdoor entrance. The robots delivered 2,500-plus meals in just their fi rst week.
