Walking The Talk UNICEF makes strides at Goss-Michael Foundation. Faisal Halum Dan Garrett Brian Bolke BY LACY BALL. PHOTOGRAPHY KRISTINA BOWMAN. M Sherri Carpenter Jo Marie Lilly Kim Garrett ore than 300 strong joined event chair Rich Moses and project chair Joyce Goss for the second annual UNICEF Experience at Goss-Michael Foundation. Dubbed "We Believe In Zero," this evening reinforced the international organization's belief that zero children should suffer from preventable illnesses. With two interactive exhibits and multiple learning stations, the fund-raiser was much more than the typical cocktail party. Guests got a little taste of life in developing countries through the Water Walk, which involved carrying 40-pound water buckets (something some children are forced to do daily) through the gallery. Attendees showed their support by contributing $285,000 and purchasing gifts such as therapeutic food, first-aid kits, mosquito netting and school supplies via the newly launched UNICEF Experience app. Robert Thompson, senior VP of development, described the evening as "our field-to-friends movement."
