Retail therapy for a very important cause. And we mean very, as in verrrrry Versace. So it was when the luxury purveyor set sail on a beautiful evening billed as Champagne and Shopping for a most moving nonprofit, the I Am Waters Foundation, the charity founded by Elena Davis that offers hydration and hope to the homeless in Texas and Louisiana via branded water bottles that carry a positive one-word message: Love, Hope, Peace. Joining Miz Davis and husband Gregg were social/philanthropic types including host committee members Terri and John Havens (she serves on the board), Lindsay and Rand Holstead (she chaired the still-being-buzzed-about Supermodels of the '80s-themed luncheon that followed weeks later), Courtney and Bo Hopson, Rosemarie and Matt Johnson, Lucinda and Javier Loya, Kirby and Scott McCool, Debbie and Peyman Pakzaban, and Karen Pulaski. Adding to the energy of the night were Versace big brass: in from NYC, marketing and events manager Jessica Giesen and American senior buyer Alla Farberov; L.A.-based visual manager Elena Holland; joining Houston Galleria store manager Antonio Gallegos. An informal modeling of the sleek Spring/Summer 2012 collection capped this Versace fashion voyage, to the clink of posh flutes of Bacardi's Martini Prosecco, while Rosemary's Catering devised the blissful bites.
