It turns out, it's a new much more modern South African-inspired steakhouse. Apheleia founder Richard Ellman drew inspiration from his own upbringing when coming up with the new Wits Steakhouse. Wits is the nickname of the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, where Ellman's mother went.
