We ran into Melissa Ellis at The Arbors, who filled us in on the happenings at her new Tutu & Lilli shop that she shares with Muse, in Round Top Village. We also met Madison Marchbanks, a recent graduate of Ole Miss, who is both the brains and beauty behind the clothing line Happy Heart. We saw Kori Green (also known as Mrs. Pat Green) showing, with partner Ro Rynd, her Facets Home collection of hardware and pulls, as well as her jewelry collection, Kori Green Designs. In another tent were Verona Privé's hand-carved million-year- old minerals fashioned into platters, bowls, and art pieces. At Blue Hills, we met George Ferrari-Gonzalez, who had an impressive collection of antique prints. We made tracks to Ex-Cess I & II, where we found Leftovers Antiques bulging with merchandise (make a side trip when the shows are over to Brenham to the Leftovers main store, open year-round). With more than 100 vendors across two fields, we found our way to Knock on Wood, 145 Sisters, and a slew of others. At Big Red Barn and the Continental Tent were antique Texana, classic weapons and ammunition, historic documents and currency, vintage coins (some, harvested from the sea), American and European furnishings, silver, and linens. Then it was on to Cole's Antique Show, McLaren's Antiques, Drift & Holler, and Bar W, and we called it a night at The Halles, where the addition of the VIP Experience made The Halles one of the best stops along Texas Highway 237.
