Retail: Over at NorthPark Center, you have new boutiques to frequent. Ganni-philes (the legions of women who appreciate the brand's versatility and edgier spin) can load up at the new Ganni boutique on Level One between Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. If you're unfamiliar with the name, it's based in Copenhagen and owned by a brilliant husband-and-wife team, creative director Ditte Reffstrup and founder Nicolaj Reffstrup, Those whose tastes runs slightly more classic, check out the new St. John boutique on Level One between Neiman Marcus and Dillard's. Founded in 1962 in California, this fashion house revolutionized luxury knitwear over the past six decades. Social: This might be the first fall since 2019 when our Smythson date books have been this full. This bee is exhausted, just thinking of the amount of outfit planning required to make it through the slew of parties. There's not enough space here to share all with you — you can access our full calendar at papercitymag. com — but you'll most definitely find us out wearing our chicest yellow-and- black stinger to the following events, including the always anticipated Crystal Charity Ball Fashion Show and Luncheon Thursday, September 8 … Next up, we'll be pulling on our Miron Crosby cowboy boots for Cattle Baron's Ball on Saturday, September 17. We're most excited for (beyond getting to hear headliner Old Dominion) the return of Cattle Baron's to sacred Southfork Ranch for this annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society … Consider joining the Friends of Klyde Warren Park to attend their members-only event on Thursday, September 22. If you haven't yet seen the park, you can check out the gorgeous new Nancy Best Fountain on the Park's East Lawn, lit up for the evening while our favorite spinstress, DJ Lucy Wrubel, is at her turntable. Culture: The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza presents the exhibition "Solidarity Now! 1968 Poor People's Campaign" (through February 26, 2023). It's part of a national tour organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service and the National Museum of African American History and Culture. It examines one of the most important grassroots movements of the civil rights era, which took place after the death of Martin Luther King Jr.: a six- week, live-in demonstration by thousands of activists from across the nation on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., which was dubbed "city of hope." … Also, check out "Fire! The Resurrection of Mr. Imagination" (through January 7, 2023) at the African American Museum, Dallas, in historic Fair Park. This solo exhibition by the late artist known as Mr. Imagination (born Gregory Warmack, 1948-2012) features approximately 80 works and brings to light elements of his extraordinary career. Fitness and Wellness: Your ever-busy bee rarely ventures into the fitness realm (his workout regime is generally doing a loop around Highland Park Village with venti iced coffee in hand, channeling his inner Olsen twin). But sometimes he happens upon something truly unique that's worth checking out. Colleague Caitlin Clark took a preview class at Ding Ding Group Boxing and loved it. To paraphrase their vernacular, she laced up and threw down! The 50-minute high-energy classes led by Dre Williams and Adria Alcazar are for any fitness level … Want to do something that involves Buzz less exertion, book a reservation at the Thompson Spa, which just launched luxury wellness experiences. Housed in the Thompson Dallas, the spa offers an extravagant menu of traditional and med- spa services, including Skin Pen-Microneedling, a 50-minute facial promoting care-free healing that addresses acne scars, fine lines, and wrinkles. Spa guests have access to the rooftop plunge pools, eucalyptus steam room, and infrared sauna. Billy Fong FORT WORTH'S HIVE Your bee has been visiting friends in Fort Worth and has buzzy news to report. Retail: The Shops at Clearfork is our go-to when we want to score covetable items for our wardrobe arsenal. It's been whispered over a glass of rosé that Gucci will open a boutique in the fall. Stay tuned, as we'll be one of the first to announce the details. Culture: Traveling west of Highway 360 always feels like a great idea the moment we hear that one of the Fort Worth world-class arts institutions has a new blockbuster. Gas up for Crystal Wagner's second solo exhibition, "Sublime," at Fort Works Arts (through October 15). Wagner has created a large-scale, site-specific installation described as "an immersive artistic ecosystem in the heart of Fort Worth's Cultural District" that just begs to be captured on Instagram … Also, there's still time to see the Amon- Carter Museum of American Art's "Sargent, Whistler, and Venetian Glass: American Artists and the Magic of Murano" before it closes Sunday, September 11. Restaurants: The Fort Worth restaurant landscape continues to sprout new destinations. One that's gaining lots of buzz is Caterina's Ristorante, restaurateur/chef Tim Love's new concept in the Fort Worth Stockyards' Mule Alley, and his diehards are burning up the lines to score a reservation. Love is the force behind beloved Texas restaurants Lonesome Dove Western Bistro, Woodshed Smokehouse, Queenie's Steakhouse, and Love Shack, as well as one of our favorite watering holes, White Elephant Saloon. We anxiously await Lobster Alison, a two-pounder with sweet corn ravioli and Parmesan cream, and Chicken and gnocchi soup with roasted squash, baby Portobello mushrooms, and ricotta gnocchi … We're excited to revisit Paris Coffee Shop which has recently reopened after a renovation. This institution has been around since 1926 serving scratch-made breakfast and lunch to generations of local families. Social: There's always a full fall calendar in Fort Worth that makes us want to whip out something party ready. First off, head to one of our favorite events to end the summer: the Amon Carter Museum of American Art's Party on the Porch Saturday, September 10. The highlight for this year will undoubtedly be the Brent Cobb concert … Next, one of the prized tickets to score is Zoo Ball benefiting the beloved Fort Worth Zoo Saturday, September 24 … Finally, swap out that cocktail frock for a G/Fore skort for the Fifth Annual Jewel Charity Invitational Monday, September 26. This fun group is always ready to bogie, then maybe boogie their way to the bar at Shady Oaks Country Club, all to support the patients and families at Cook Children's. Billy Fong Your ever-buzzy PaperCity bee has lots to report this month. He's got the sweet scoop on what's premiering in Dallas and what's happening at our favorite haunts. If you see him and have some news, be sure to share. 50
