T he pouring rain outside Christopher Martin Gallery couldn't stop guests from pouring in to see William Norwich present an illustrated talk and signing of his book Interiors: The Greatest Rooms of the Century (Phaidon). Packing the 400 most impactful rooms from the past 100 years into a single book was a challenge in itself. Norwich, a former interior design editor for Vogue and The New York Times, described the process of distilling every interior on record from the last century to find the 400 most glorious, PC Seen: Antonio Cortz, Ally Ondarza, Bryan Huffman, Janet and Tom Martin, Payne Winter, Martha Oti, Stephen Farish, Abigail Henningsen, Camille Scott, Helene Dameris, John Bebout, Kimela Tipton, and Janne Williams. Monogram's Kitchen Confidential at CookChill T exas Design Week Houston cooked up an exciting panel at CookChill to discuss all things kitchen design with Robert Del Grande, the recently retired executive chef and partner at The Annie Café & Bar; chef Chris Williams, founder of Lucille's Hospitality Group and 2022 James Beard Award finalist; hospitality designer Gin Braverman, Gin Design Group; and residential designer Courtnay Tartt Elias, Creative Tonic Design. PaperCity's Laurann Claridge moderated the proceedings. The panel's discussion touched on everything from chef- approved kitchen organization strategies to fun features (Elias likes to install miniature martini fridges with all the trappings). To showcase Monogram's commercial and residential-grade luxury appliances, CookChill's Jay Johnston prepared lamb meatballs with fresh herbs in the 5-in-1 speed cooking oven, shrimp in the hearth oven, and veggie-stuffed mushrooms compliments of the convection oven. Bells and whistles aside, the panel all agreed on one thing: the simple joys of food and sharing it with friends and family. PC Seen: CookChill owner Alan Nahman, Sarah Prazak, Emily Hanley, Athena Sazesh, Shannon Smith, Megan Strasburg, Bill Caudell, Dawn Ginn, Oscar Banta-Guevara, Alli Ryan Motley, Tracy Motley, Heather Lack, Jailyn Marcel, Rebecca Frede, Martha Kirkwood, Stacy Ellington, Trisha Allen, Boomer Hudson, Camille Scott, Maureen Farah, and Jessica Bogs. William Norwich Presents The Greatest Rooms of the 20th Century at Christopher Martin Gallery J ust like Kimberly Schlegel Whitman and Shelley Johnstone Paschke's book, A Loving Table: Creating Memorable Gatherings (Gibbs Smith), the Longoria Collection boutique was filled with mothers, daughters, friends, and a wealth of beautiful items for tabletop and home. While Whitman couldn't make the trip from Dallas to Houston because of a sick child, co-author Johnstone- Paschke — in from Lake Forest, Illinois — found a delightful stand-in in the form of Natalie Steen. The lawyer and founder of fashion newsletter The Nat Note gave her charming perspective as one of the 34 women featured in the book.
