Now watch and artistic director Francesca Amfitheatrof has reimagined the geometric pattern into a collection of yellow- and white-gold jewelry: an emblematic ring, the cornerstone of the collection; sculpted, stacked earrings; a pendant; and a reinterpreted tennis bracelet. Playing off the tale of a 1978 U.S. Open match delayed because player Chris Evert's diamond bracelet had flown off her wrist, the Damier version is a match between the maison's legacy and the classic accessory. Alternating squares of highly polished metal and diamonds, the bracelet was crafted for maximum fluidity and tactility, hugging the wrist with wonderful suppleness. Says Amfitheatrof of her design, "I thought about the classic tennis bracelet — always in motion and always on your wrist." Each piece in the collection was made to stack and layer, even the ring, which comes in two styles: an everyday version with two rows of gold and diamonds and a statement- making design with four dazzling rows.
