Dressed Luncheon Best Was a Toast to Fashion and Philanthropy F ew things demand an updo at 8 am, but the annual Crystal Charity Ball Fashion Show and Luncheon is one. The grande dame of fundraising organizations, Crystal Charity Ball has raised more than $198 million for children's charities in Dallas County since its inception in 1952. One hundred women comprise the organization, which hosts two an- nual events that are considered can- ons of Dallas' social registrar: the annual ball, and the fashion show and luncheon honoring the Ten Best Dressed Women. The latter returned to the hallowed halls of the flagship Neiman Marcus for its 51st iteration, chaired by Amy Hegi. Riding the downtown store's escalators transports guests to a more refined and glamorous era when women dressed with pomp and pageantry. Dallas' most expensive and most exclusive luncheon follows a tried-and-true format: air-kisses and Veuve, a masterfully produced fashion show, and a dignified lunch on four. This year, the organization welcomed four philanthropic and fashionable women into their coterie: Shelby Goff, Jacquelin Sewell Atkinson, Julie Bagley, and Shannon Graham. They joined the Best Dressed ranks of Tracey Kozmetsky, Tracy Lange, Wendy Messmann, Lisa Rocchio, Sunie Solomon, and Katherine Wyker. Aileen Pratt was inducted as a 2025 honoree into the Hall of Fame. Elaine Agather announced each swan, as they floated down the runway wearing Italian heritage brand Brunello Cucinelli. Carolina Cucinelli, the founder's daughter and current VP and co-creative director, flew in for the occasion. Brunello Cucinelli's Italian refinement brushed all aspects of the event, from the cascading taupe draperies at the runway entrance to the luncheon menu, which included antipasti with Brunello Cucinelli olive oil, a rare beef tenderloin tagliata with Caprese salad, and classic tiramisu. Veuve Clicquot flowed throughout. Of course, the Best Dressed (and aspiring best dressed) save their best looks for the Crystal Charity Ball on Saturday, December 6, at the Hilton Anatole, when chairman Mary Martha Pickens takes guests on an Expedition d'Elegance.
