20 F all is here, and it seems that this year, it arrived in the blink of an eye. Almost a month ago, Christmas lights and wreaths were being strung along Westheimer, even though Halloween and Thanksgiving were still weeks away. While most everyone appreciates planning ahead and filling the fall calendar with parties and dinners, sometimes I think the most meaningful parts of the holidays are pushed aside. While spending time with family and friends during the upcoming holidays, I'm going to make an effort this year to truly take a second to slow down and be thankful for what brings me happiness. At PaperCity, we have gone through recent transitions that thankfully have been well-received. Aside from our format change to perfect bound in September, our second wow moment was the addition of Shelby Hodge to the PaperCity family. We, along with our advertisers and friends, are thrilled to have Shelby on our team, covering all things social. Look for her coverage online at PaperCityMag.com, as well as in print each month. And, speaking of additions, PaperCity would like to congratulate our friends Tony Bradfield and Kevin Black of Tenenbaum Classic Jewelers on the completion of their stunning new store. After years on Post Oak Boulevard, Tenenbaum opens later this month on Westheimer near River Oaks District. And, opening due west, J. McLaughlin brings its second Houston outpost of preppy and polished clothes for men and women to Town & Country Village, just in time for holiday parties. We hope you enjoy the fall, and savor everything that brings you happiness this time of year. Monica Bailey Bickers Publisher monica@papercitymag.com letter publisher ANNE LAHO
