Along with the furniture collection, the new showroom will carry exclusive lines with which Wells had decades- long relationships, including Ann-Morris Lighting, Joanna Rock Wallcoverings, O. Henry House Furniture, Pintura Studio Fabrics and Wallcoverings, Tillett Textiles and Vermilion Rugs. While the e-commerce website will launch the company into the 21st century and beyond, Jeanmard says a bricks- and-mortar storefront is still essential, and the company wanted to roll that out first. "The design business has changed dramatically from when we started," he says. "Everyone has access to design now because of the Internet, but there's no substitute for sitting in a chair, or feeling the texture of a fabric."
