January is a special issue, not only because fashion, parties, and restaurants are featured, but it's a design feast as well. We're devoting a generous amount of pages to both a feature house and coverage of the winning entries to our Dallas PaperCity Design Awards with Dunhill Partners and Dallas Design District. Flip through this section of beautiful images of the winning residential, retail, historical, and other design projects. Also new this year is the Bill Hutchinson Award, which honors an individual, foundation, or company that has galvanized the Dallas design community. Dwell With Dignity, a nonprofit that designs inspiring spaces for the less fortunate, was the worthy recipient of this inaugural award. We're still catching our breath after this year's Design Awards cele- bration, with more than 400 guests attending the November soirée, all to toast the fine attention to detail, color, composition, and design exhibited by top designers and architects. It was an eventful night, from the cham- pagne reception at George Cameron Nash's stunning showroom to the ceremony at the Level Two venue in the Design District and culminating with celebration parties at Ellouise Abbott showroom with artist Robert Kuo and at David Sutherland showroom, where our Design Awards judges Jay Jeffers, Bobby McAlpine, and Jeffrey Alan Marks signed their books and chatted with guests. While I pen this note, I'm looking forward to our 19th year of publishing PaperCity in Dallas. As we round out our second decade, we consider ourselves fortunate to be in such good company, and we are constantly inspired and encouraged by our readers and partners. Cheers to 2017.
