W hat better way to set off a spectacular party scene than with a gauntlet of white roses and a stanchion of velvet ropes. Such was the pathway to an intimate VIP evening in The Galleria, hosted by PaperCity and Simon, the global property group that owns the 2.4-mil- lion-square-foot luxury mall. The guest list represented top clients from Valentino, Bottega Veneta, Céline, Chanel, The Webster, Tiffany & Co., and Neiman Marcus. As Chris Lane, Galleria director of marketing and business development, explained, "This season, we wanted to create a bespoke event that offered a luxury moment of discovery at The Galleria." A dining salon was created inside a luminous tent of fl owing silken panels, on The Galleria's second level, just outside of Neiman Marcus. Flourishes of white orchids, tulips, and hydrangeas stretched the length of the tables, which were dressed in shimmering candles. A presentation of sparkling eveningwear from Neiman Marcus followed a beautiful dinner by A Fare Extraordinaire. Lucky guests received a prized party favor: a personalized metal valet card for one year of free valet parking at The Galleria.
