100th OBSESSIONS. DECORATION. SALIENT FACTS. C artier celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Trinity, an iconic design of three interlocking rings that looks as modern today as it was revolutionary in 1924. The universal ring that symbolizes love, friendship, and life's milestones has been reinvented many times — wider bands, multiplied up to 10 rings intertwined, fluted, faceted, and gadrooned. For the anniversary, Cartier has reissued the XL bracelet first released in 1924 and famously worn by Elsie de Wolf. A modular version of the Trinity allows the wearer to fuse the three bands together for a discreet daytime look, then unravel the bands to reveal the diamonds at night. From $2,170, at the Cartier boutique, cartier.com. O ur beloved purveyor of archival fashion, Cameron Silver, comes to Stanley Korshak for an appearance and signing of his latest book, Caftans: From Classical to Camp (Vendome, 2024), Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17, 11 am to 4 pm. The multi-hyphenate Silver emerged on the scene in 1997 with the opening of his L.A. vintage shop, Decades, and soon attracted the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Chloë Sevigny, who sought his stylist's eye for red-carpet appearances during awards season. He's been a reality star on Bravo's Dukes of Melrose; and evolved into one of fashion's top influencers, with more than 70,000 followers on Instagram. His latest subject, the caftan, has become a staple for girls on the go — a trend embraced by designers such as La Vie Style House, La DoubleJ, and Pucci, which regularly offer new takes on the ethereal and flowing garment. Silver's book — a love letter to the caftan with more than 200 photographs — will likely find a home on the chicest of coffee tables. And, what's most exciting: He's bringing a capsule collection of his caftans to Stanley Korshak. Next up is a lively conversation between author Kevin Kwan and Cornelia Guest as part of the Dallas Museum of Art's Arts & Letters Live series on Thursday, May 30. Kwan, the icon-in-the-making author of the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy, presents his newest book, Lies and Weddings. Set in the most glamorous of locales — Hawaii's black-sand beaches, aristocratic family estates in the UK, decadent Hollywood bachelor pads, and the sexy cityscape of Marrakech — it details a forbidden affair, but through an outrageously comedic lens. We're quite certain the streaming services have already lined up to turn this into a movie or series. Guest is a celebrity in her own right — daughter of C.Z. Guest, former '80s deb of the decade, author, animal activist, actress, and local It- girl (we can claim her as our own, since she moved to Dallas in 2019). Guest will take us on a charming journey through Kwan's career and latest tome.
