This year has truly been a marathon and not just a sprint — in fact, it might be time to head to Deno's in BUZZ Retail: We were thrilled to be among the first through the doors of the gorgeous reimagined two-story Chanel outpost in Highland Park Village, which premiered in April. Up next for the shopping Mecca will be the fall opening of the Dior boutique, which moves into the space formerly occupied by Ralph Lauren. We've heard whispers that the new outpost for the house that Christian built will have a Dior café; we'll let you know when we get official confirmation … NorthPark Center also has a slew of openings on the horizon, including Etro, opening this summer, as well as the much-anticipated Prada boutique (after a decades-long absence in Dallas) and powerhouse Givenchy, in the fall … Lip Lab, which recently opened in the Knox neighborhood, is perfect for a girls' night out. It's been 40 years since the club's opening on May 12, 1984. During its heralded but brief (five-year) run, the club welcomed an international jet-set crowd and dazzled with entertainers including Grace Jones and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. If you were one of the few who made it past those exclusive velvet ropes and danced with abandon — or wish you had — make your way to The Kessler theater for what promises to be a glamorous throwback evening. Their website lists the event as currently sold-out, but we're certain that if you were a regular back in the day, you'll be able to find a secret list to get on. Or, consider the additional night they've added on Saturday, May 11 — a pre-party. By Billy Fong. Ally Hilfiger, art show at Stanley Korshak STEVE HASH 32
