Connection A French In Support of KidneyTexas PAPERCITY PROMOTION F ollowing Fashion Week in Milan, Dallas' social set was equally booked with run- way shows on our own turf — including KidneyTexas' signature fundraiser, Runway Report. The al- ways elegant Allison Brodnax chaired the event — the theme was The French Connection, celebrating the life-saving col- laboration between French and American doctors in the fight against kidney disease. On the heels of KidneyTexas' silver anniversary last year, the 26th Runway Report featured wonderful updates, with a move from Brook Hollow Country Club to The Ritz-Carlton ballroom and the legendary Jan Strimple passing the fashion production reins to Robyn Chauvin. NorthPark Center — currently celebrating "60 years of retail excellence" — was this year's sponsor and showcased looks from ME+EM, Nordstrom, Scanlan Theodore, St. John, Varley, and Wilson. Laura Harris of NBC5 emceed the event, where a French market-themed backdrop with bicycles and baskets of fruit, a champagne reception, silent auction, and chocolate tasting from Läderach were followed by a French feast. KidneyTexas counts many philanthropic Dallasites amongst its steadfast supporters, but perhaps none more so than Anne and Bill Seanor, who served as presenting sponsors, and honorary chairs Donna and Herb Weitzman. Mari Epperson serves as president of KidneyTexas and presented Cindy Hanson and Stacey Wiggins with this year's Sue Goodnight Award.
