DJ Lucy Wrubel was behind the turntables, spinning a playlist apropos for an après- Paris fashion week party: French pop and 1990s Air classics. The pièce de resistance was a riff on a classic college drinking game: not beer pong, but champagne pong. Follow the rules of the night: First, take a shot — no sober ringers allowed. Then, try a gentle bounce, not a fastball. The sky- high arrangement of champagne coupes did make me nervous. I'm not a competitive Jenga player. For the lucky one landing a ball in the top coupe, a sparkly diamond awaited.
