JENNY ANTILL International Escapades at MFAH Nancy & Rich Kinder Gary Tinterow at Modernities T wo recent exhibitions at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, ensured that our eyes traveled the world. First, it was off to the ancient Near East for the opening of "The Cyrus Cylinder and Ancient Persia: A New Beginning." Patrons welcomed the famed Cyrus Cylinder, on loan from the British Museum, which has possessed it since its discovery in 1879. The storied Babylonian artifact, its edicts written in cuneiform, is thought to be first bill of human rights to exist.
