S cales and sales were the bywords for Houston Symphony's Young Associates Council cocktail hour hosted by Louis Vuitton in its beautiful boutique, which was reimagined last year by architectural great Peter Marino. Welcoming the melodious ones (an assemblage of bright young things under 45) was Vuitton VP Kim Harrington, while a string quartet from Virtuosi of Houston set the tone. Heading up the soirée were Ting and John Bresnahan and Katie Flaherty, who enticed many to join via the group's membership drive. Appetites were sated with bites from A Fare Extraordinaire and flutes of champagne. The evening came to its crescendo with a performance by symphony violinist Alexandra Adkins.
