ROSWITHA VOGLER Lunching With Blue Cure Foundation Chairmen Gabe Canales, Carolyn Farb T he inaugural Blue Cure Foundation Luncheon turned cancer prevention on its ear, encouraging a more informed approach to diet and lifestyle. The afternoon, which included a silent auction and a seated (and healthy) lunch care of ZaZa chef Jeff Axline, served as the launch for The Fred and Mabel R. Parkes Lecture series — the first speaker, Margaret Cuomo (author of A World Without Cancer), delivered a stirring address. Orchestrated by chairmen/Blue Cure founder Gabe Canales and Carolyn Farb, the day honored board member Rod Paige with the inaugural Blue Cure Foundation Award. The fiendishly blue fête was preceded the night before by an underwriters' dinner with the chance to chat up Cuomo.
