P H O T O G R A P H Y R O B I N P R O C T O R . The tented reception, designed as an elegant garden party, accommodated 168 guests, who dined beneath 12 chandeliers. White lace linens from BBJ Linens coordinated with the bride's gown. Gold Aspen leaf invitations with a quote: "Now at last they were beginning chapter one of the great story, no one on earth has read: which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before." — C.S. Lewis Escaping the reception with glow sticks in hand, the bride and groom departed in The Ultimate Taxi, a 1979 Checker Cab with lasers, disco tunes, dry ice and karaoke all rolled into one wild ride back to the Little Nell. Created from a snapshot of the wedding dress fabric, the intricate lace and beaded design on the wedding cake was completely edible. ANY MOUNTAIN THAT CAN MOVE A shivering carriage ride through Highland Park Village set the scene for a forthcoming nature-inspired wedding. With 28-degree chills on the evening of December 10, 2012, Cory Emerson nervously escorted Christina Donnally on a romantic ride, fearing the arctic tempera- ture would ruin his plans — Christina doesn't do "below 75 degrees." They stopped at her parents' home to pick up Charley, Christina's well-groomed and decidedly styl- ish peekapoo dog, who was adorned in a green scarf with the engagement ring hanging from his neck. Cory asked, "Charley and I would like to know if you will marry me." The following September, amidst Aspen trees, mountains and the all-encompassing beauty of nature, and the landscape of Colorado, Christina and Cory tied the knot. The Couple: Christina Donnally, a national sales jewelry specialist at The Knot, and Cory Emerson, who works in real estate. Rehearsal Dinner: At Casa Tua in Aspen, guests enjoyed delicious Northern Italian cuisine, ending with after-dinner drinks at Hotel Jerome. The Wedding: September 21, 2013, 6 pm, at the bride's parents' home: a ranch in Woody Creek, Colorado. Wedding Planner: Jason Burns, D.L. Event Planning, Aspen. The Cake: d'Elissious Cake Studio of Aspen. Flowers: The Aspen Branch. The Gown: Dress, veil and jewelry from Carolina Herrera in Highland Park Village. Karaoke style, the couple sang on stage to Earth Wind & Fire's "September Song" — opening lyrics: "Do you remember the 21st night of September …" Surrounded by fall foliage, Christina posed beneath the two peaks of Maroon Bells mountain in her Carolina Herrera gown.
