PHOTOGRAPHY SHAU LIN HON The competition for the Momentum Award was fast and stylish. "Very strategically parking it on the sidewalk outside of Lucinda Loya Interiors for a trunk show/cocktail party that I hosted." — Lucinda Loya, in an F-Type Convertible "The sleek design and the responsive and powerful engine make for a fantastic drive. I had so much fun driving around the city." — Chris Shepherd, in an XJ "The funniest and consequently most memorable moment I had in my Jaguar was when I got a speeding ticket — the second day of driving the Jaguar. My XJ was so incredibly smooth that I had no idea how fast I was going. Luckily, I got the ticket dismissed by Sullo & Sullo, and I still have a clean driving record!" — Henry Richardson, in an XJ "If you want to get noticed: (1) Get a Jaguar. (2) Get a convertible Jaguar. (3) Get a convertible Jaguar F-Type. (4) Get a convertible Jaguar F-Type in red." — Tatiana Massey, in an F-Type convertible "My brother and I enjoyed driving our Jaguar XF everywhere — to Central Market, to the gym and to dinners. Loved the leather seats and the smooth ride."— Chung Nguyen in an XF "Stepping in and smelling that yummy new car smell." — Claire Cormier Thielke in an XF APRIL | PAGE 30 | 2014 MOMENTUM Driving Style at M omentum Jaguar Southwest Houston gave the green light on giving when the dealership teamed with PaperCity back in August for a unique campaign, The Momentum Award, Driving Style in Houston, which married the allure of elegant automobiles with the beauty of benevolence. Together we tapped interesting and stylish souls to highlight in print, one person per month, encouraging readers to vote for their favorite altruist — and providing each nominee with a Jaguar model for that month. Momentum Jaguar generously committed to donating a prize package to the victor's favorite charitable cause, including a $5,000 contribution. The participants: Lucinda Loya (Child Advocates); Tatiana Massey (The Menil Collection); brothers Chung Nguyen and Chuong Nguyen (Sunflower Mission); Henry Richardson (Habitat for Humanity and Habitat for Humanity Global Village); Chris Shepherd (English Bulldog Rescue Network); and Claire Cormier Thielke (Legacy Community Health Services). The grand reveal of the winner and their cause took place in the spacious showroom of the Momentum Jaguar Southwest Houston dealership, where supporters enjoyed Swift + Company hors d'oeuvres and libations care of Selmo Wines and Crown Royal Black, while DJ Senega created symphonic fusions. Then it was time to shift gears. Presenters Diane Caplan, former eCommerce and marketing director, and Momentum Jaguar sales manager Jimmy Olguin proclaimed Henry Richardson — and his cause, Habitat for Humanity and Habitat for Humanity Global Village — the campaign winner. Compassionate car connoisseurs: Monsour Taghdisi, Lindsey Brown, Florence Tang, Michael Caplan, Montrice Malone, Scott Boyd, Terrence Hobdy, Tara Brivic, Mark Broussard, Jerry Moore, Greg Jones, Daniel Goldberg, Leo Jaimes, Michael Yafi, Madeline Pena, Kyrie Collins, and Andy Magana.
