P riceless trouvailles and hors d'oeuvres were perfectly paired for the refined palate of the decorating set. Josie and Fred Nevill, owners of Antiques of River Oaks, welcomed antiquarians for a spot of milk punch and stilton crackers to celebrate the season that was. Enjoying punch and period pieces: dealer David Lackey, Johnette Dodson, Margaret Shilstone, and Marti Peterson. Geoffrey Westergaard invited aficionados of luxurious interior trappings such as Ryan Reitmeyer, Amy Munger, Elizabeth Stiver, and Rachel Starr to his well- appointed shop, Carl Moore Antiques, to have their copies of the latest palatial tome Glamorous Retreats (Abrams) signed by its author, Jan Showers, in for the day from Dallas. At the Mrs. PK & Oz store grand opening, mid-century marvels reclaimed and restored by Patti Kagan and Troy Osborne (aka Oz) were a sight to be seen. The modern designs with a touch of glam attracted the likes of Anastasia Molodtsova, Brooke Gibson, Jonathon Glus, Yvonne Boustany, and Chris Mills. At the Gardens and Grandeur Gala Preview Party, co-chairmen Cynthia Adkins and Liz Rigney gave a sneak peek of the treasures to be found at the 61st annual Theta Charity Antiques Show, featuring talks from Alexa Hampton, Elissa Cullman and Tracey Pruzan, Celerie Kemble, Danielle Rollins and Bunny Williams. Seen amongst a tableaux of trellises and tapestries: Lisa and Bill Schwartz, Amy and Braden Keith, Maureen and Jay Manning, Sallie and Bob Mansell, and Houston Theta prez Allison Cain Allison. Finally, Ken Kehoe played host to a slew of style savants for the relaunch of his enlarged and revamped showroom, Ken Kehoe & Co., and the launch of his eponymous furniture collection, at the Houston Design Center.
