A NIGHT OF GLAMOUR AND GIVING AT ELIZABETH ANTHONY T he second annual Generations of Glamour Style Show at Elizabeth Anthony established it as a mainstay of the fall fashion social calendar. Benefitting the United Way of Greater Houston Women's Initiative, the fête kicked off with Deep Eddy Vodka cocktails and bites from Swift and Company in the newly expanded Elizabeth Anthony boutique. Designed by Intexure Architecture, the stunning space won this year's PaperCity Design Award for Commercial Interior Design or Architectural Design. Two hundred stylish philanthropists and tastemakers shopped and socialized before convening in a white tent erected just outside for the fashion show. Elizabeth Anthony owner Julie Roberts highlighted the glamour and depth of the evening's honorees, which included writers, scientists, oil execs and philanthropists. Models showcased Escada Resort and Spring 2016 collections and jewelry by Jordan Alexander, strolling the runway to beats by Moodafaruka. But the real scene-stealers were the mother-daughter (sometimes in-law) honorees, who walked the catwalk with glowing smiles and synchronized routines (blow a kiss here, sashay there, wink to the audience, turn): Maria Alcala-Herrara with Angelica Alcala-Herrera, Libby Cheney with Megan Welch, Erica de la Torre Robert with Ashley de la Torre, Harriet Hart with Meredith Barineau, Nancy Haywood with Emma Haywood, Kelley Lubanko with Elise Lubanko, Sue Payne with Hannah Payne, Kelly von Gonten with Rachel von Gonten, Jane Wagner with Jill Roth and Emily Roth, and Merele Yarborough with Amy Yarborough. As a grand finale, Julie Roberts took a turn with daughter Jennifer Mohler. Embodying the best kind of glamour: United Way's VP of donor giving Anne Neeson and avid volunteer Dorothy Nicholson; Escada's Rebecca Evans, in from New York; Jordan Alexander's designer Theresa Bruno; and guests Carolyn Farb, Vivian Wise, Neal Hamil, Bobbie Nau, Lynn Mathre, Jana Giammalva, Shawntell McWilliams, and Sharon Bush.
