16 letter publisher ANNE LAHO T he year 2016 has been monumental for PaperCity magazine. We redeveloped our 22-year-old broadsheet format in to our spectacular perfect-bound format, which launched in September. We brought on Shelby Hodge, a social veteran in Houston, as our society and lifestyle editor, online and in print. And, to add to the excitement, PaperCity is thrilled to welcome Chad Miller back to PaperCity. Chad has joined — or rather, rejoined — the PaperCity staff after an eight-year hiatus at various companies, including CultureMap, where he served as chief revenue officer. Chad will oversee all things digital as president of UPI Digital, LLC, which has grown exponentially since the site launch in December 2014. We look forward to the growth that he will bring to our company. While we are commemorating the amazing year we've had as a company, we don't want to forget the exciting happenings detailed in this month's issue. One of my favorite annual special sections is the beautiful Deutsch & Deutsch jewelry spread, which highlights the exquisite diamonds, jewelry, and timepieces carried by the boutique. While you're holiday shopping, make it a point to check out Deutsch & Deutsch's renovated boutique. The talented Don Connelly of Area has wrapped up a complete renovation, just in time for the holidays. We hope that you, too, have had a fabulous year. Enjoy the holidays with your family and friends. We can't wait to see what 2017 has in store for us all. Monica Bailey Bickers Publisher monica@papercitymag.com
