The Children's Museum of Houston's Mad Hatter's Ball inspired more energy than that imagined at Lewis Carroll's mad tea party. The whimsical storybook setting by Bergner & Johnson served as the perfect tableau for the black-tie gala where hats of every description were de rigueur — the zanier, the better. The Queen of Hearts, Mad Hatter, and March Hare rollicked through The Corinthian along with more than 500 partygoers. Credit the clever theme to chairs Elva and Truett Akin and Monica and Greg Meeks.
