16 H ello, December. The final month of 2016 is upon us, and I'd like to take a moment to celebrate the December issue and share some exciting things to come in 2017. Arriving at this special issue is always a labor of love for our editorial and creative teams as they search for exceptional treasures to feature in the annual PaperCity Gift Guide. This year's theme? Less is more, with extraordinary pieces, from a new fragrance at Elements to a new din- nerware set from Hermès. Find it all on page 54. Speaking of Uncommon, Unconventional and Extraordinary items, you'll notice the wildly artistic 36-page holiday book inserted by Forty Five Ten within our pages. The retailer has plenty to celebrate this month, as its newly opened downtown location is glorious, with four floors filled with the most inventive, beautiful pieces from the fashion, home, and beauty worlds. (Not to mention, the opening last month was perfectly timed for holiday shopping.) In looking ahead to exciting changes to come, we are thrilled to announce the addition of Chad Miller to our team as president of UPI Digital, LLC. Chad is a familiar face here at PaperCity having worked here for seven years on the publishing side before joining CultureMap, where he most recently held the role of chief revenue officer. Chad will apply his vast knowledge of the digital sphere to oversee further enhancements of our offerings. Our goal when we launched our new website two years ago, and worked to dramatically grow our social media presence, was to offer clients and partners exposure on a multi- tude of important platforms to strengthen awareness. We look forward to sharing these new developments with you and continuing to deliver engaging content in the visually delightful and artful ways that are oh- so PaperCity. Happy holidays to you and yours. We'll see you in the New Year! Briana Buxbaum Dallas Publisher briana@papercitymag.com letter publisher STEVEN VISNEAU, SISTERBROTHER MGMT
