20 OBSESSIONS. DECORATIONS. SALIENT FACTS. Bag Snob Launches … YES, BAGS P icture this: a young Tina Craig zipping through Southern California neighborhoods on a beach cruiser, one hand gripping the handlebar while the other clutches a tricolored Astro-Pop, making sure she returns home before the sun sinks behind the Pacific Ocean. It's hard to imagine the Dallas-based fashion phenom as anything other than the fabulous Bag Snob, but it's the details of Craig's childhood — the California sunset, seagulls, bike rides — that inspired her new handbag collection, Tina Craig for Gianfranco Lotti, a luxury Italian designer. "They are beautifully made while still whimsical," she says of the leather bags, crafted in Florence and available this month exclusively on netaporter.com. "I wanted to evoke memories of a carefree time. You could be anything you wanted to be, limited only by your own imagination." For more on what Craig is crafting, turn to page 34. From $1,795, netaporter.com. Linden Wilson D onald Fowler is a man of many talents. The longtime retail guru worked in the home department at Stanley Korshak before landing at the recently shuttered Nest boutique, where he was senior buyer and manager. He's also a writer, composer, lyricist, and creator of the musical Creep, which debuted last year. This month, the imaginative and theatrical Fowler gets a new store to call his own: He's just been announced as director of retail for the Nasher Sculpture Center's Nasher Store. His weighty task: to bring the museum boutique to international acclaim by stocking interesting pieces, both in store and via e-commerce — jewelry, housewares, design objets, publications, periodicals — and create in-store events focused on local and international artisans and designers. Nasher Store at the Nasher Sculpture Center, 2001 Flora St., 214.241.5110, nashersculpturecenter.org. Christina Geyer The NASHER'S NEW MAN STIRR Crazy W here can you dine until 2 am any night of the week, then return a few hours later for brunch? New Deep Ellum restaurant/rooftop bar Stirr beckons with its sprawling downtown views and modern American fare — savory bites from executive chef Chad Bowden, who previously helmed the kitchen in Rockwall's Culpepper Steakhouse. On our must-try list: poblano pepper mac, lobster claw omelette, even pan-seared foie gras. Stirr's cocktail menu overflows with cheeky names and sweet concoctions such as the Girl From Dallas (Lillet Blanc and strawberry purée ice cubes) and Beet it Nerd (Ron Zacapa, brown sugar syrup, lime juice, beet juice).
