Miss Katlin Abell Beecherl Weds Mr. Zachary Lee James Miss Peyton Blackwell Engaged to Mr. André Dowd P a p e r C i t y P eyton Blackwell and André Dowd are engaged to be married Saturday, May 20, 2017, in Dallas. Peyton, 27, is a special events associate at the Center for BrainHealth and Brain Performance Institute in Dallas. She is a grad- uate of Dallas Baptist University, with a bach- elor of science degree in communications. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Sue and Pryor Blackwell of Dallas. André, 29, is the director of development for Kickstart Kids in Dallas. He is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a bachelor of arts degree in communication studies and business. He is the son of Hedda Dowd and the late Jack Dowd. The couple will wed at Park Cities Baptist Church with a reception to follow at Sixty Five Hundred. It was the couple's two pups, Owen and Jax, that played a part in André's proposal — a sweet moment during a stroll in Highland Park's Lakeside Park, near a bench dedicated to the memory of Peyton's late brother and grand- father. André whistled for Owen, who had the engagement ring attached to his collar. "It was special," André says. "Our immediate family were hiding a block away, where they could witness the moment. The final surprise was when all our family and friends gathered at Peyton's parents' home to celebrate." K atlin Abell Beecherl and Zachary Lee James were married September 24, 2016, by the Right Reverend Anthony J. Burton at Church of the Incarnation in Dallas, with a recep- tion at the Dallas Museum of Art. The bride, 29, is an interior designer in Dallas with The Humble Bee Design, which will open in Fall 2017. She is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a degree in interior design. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Charles Beecherl of Highland Park. The groom, 29, is a vice president of alter- native investments in Plano for Texas Financial Resources. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University with degrees in finance, entrepre- neurial management, energy technology, and eco- nomics. He is the son of Mr. Bobby Glenn James and Mrs. Twila Hellums Humphries of Plano. The bride chose a custom Peter Langner gown from Neiman Marcus Bridal Salon and carried a bouquet designed by Jackson Durham Events. The bride's matron-of-honor was Mary Beecherl Irby, and her maids of honor were Sarah Beecherl and Lindsey Marsh; with attendants Rachel Adams, Katherine Hardaway, Melanie Eberenz, Carla Fallick, Kaylyn Montgomery, Mallory Browning O'Connor, Samantha Olguin, Helen Beecherl Short, and Anne-Marie Walker. The groom's best men were Russell James and Chase Daigle. His groomsmen were Blake Armstrong, William Charles Beecherl Jr., Alexander Daigle, John Foss, Scott Gordon, Paul Halicki, Gregory Hamre, Travis Polk, Michael White, and Gentry Zacheis.
