In the fall, Peloton and Sweet Paris Creperie (in the former Kate Spade space on Drexel) open, and the remodel of the Williams-Sonoma store will also be complete. In spring, Brandy Melville, Warby Parker and Sephora open. RA Sushi's remodel is now completed. On Saturday, October 20, Highland Village flips the switch for the annual holiday lights that blaze a glittering trail down Westheimer Road, with live music and fireworks 5:30 to 7 pm, celebrating the Holiday Shopping Card … Rejuvenation — a Williams-Sonoma company specializing in classic American lighting, hardware and furniture — opens its first Texas store in Uptown Park mid-month … The Galleria welcomes Breitling this fall. The highly crafted timepieces beloved by divers and pilots, will be located near Galleria Financial Tower on Level 1. Also swinging open in The Galleria this fall is Dance With Me studio, founded by Dancing With the Stars supernovas Maks and Val Chmerkovskiy, offering private and group lessons, and social occasion lessons for brides, grooms, and debutantes. Italian Gerolamo "Gimmo" E t r o f o u n d e d t h e company in the seminal year of 1968 as a prêt-à-porter and couture textile house, and ever since, Etro has embraced the power of pattern. Today t h e c o m p a n y is still family run; Gimmo now plays an advisory role, having passed the business on to his four children. Veronica Etro, a graduate of Central Saint Martins, and Kean Etro, who designed Etro's first menswear collection in 1990, serve as creative directors and have designed the Etro 50 capsule collection, which celebrates the brand's rich history while keeping an eye on the future. The collection incorporates T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, slip- on footwear, accessories, and silk and cashmere scarves, all with the Etro 50 crest and the company's bohemian tagline, mixed with the signature paisley and vibrant colors. This is the first "new" Original Ninfa's opened by Legacy Restaurants. The 6,300-square-foot restaurant, designed by Austin-based architect and designer Michael Hsu, will have seating for 280 and three patios. Executive chef Alex Padilla, who has helmed the kitchen at The Original Ninfa's on Navigation since 2006, will serve as corporate chef. "We've been looking for a premier location in the Galleria/Uptown area for some time," says Legacy Restaurants CEO Jonathan Horowitz. "As for the restaurant itself, we don't see the need to make any significant changes to The Original Ninfa's formula — both the classic items and the additions Chef Padilla has made over the past 12 years. If it's not broken, we're not going to try to fix it." Audible sigh of relief … Robert Del Grande (Cafe Annie) has been tapped to do the restaurant refresh at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. The space will be renamed Diana American Grill, after William Hobby's wife. Watch for a entrees such as rigatoni with Bison Bolognese and Gulf red snapper with a crab cioppino sauce … Over the past two years, Four Seasons Hotel Houston has undergone a wonderful transformation, from a complete renovation of the lobby areas to the posh new spa and opening of a chic bar, Bayou & Bottle. Now Four Seasons welcomes two new talents to the Quattro kitchen. Executive chef Rafael Gonzalez has relocated from Anguila, where he worked at the Viceroy Anguilla, a recent acquisition to the Four Season's portfolio, as well as at Le Bernardin and Jean-Georges. Joining him on the sweet side is executive chef Emily Rosenberg, an L.A. native and graduate of CIA Greystone in the Napa Valley. We're excited to see what's on the menu this fall … Celeb Atlanta-Houston chef Ford Fry (State of Grace) has opened Tex- Mex Superica at 1801 North Shepherd, the former Hunky Dory and Bernadine's location. You'll find But there's more: Fry has also opened La Lucha — a nod to the San Jacinto Inn, with chicken fried to order, burgers and Gulf Coast oysters — next door to Superica … Flower Child, a Fox Restaurant Concept (North Italia, Blanco Tacos & Tequila), has opened in a sunny green-and-white space in Uptown Park, serving bowls, wraps, grains, fruit, and greens.
