L'Objet x Haas Brothers Haas Mojave vase $550, at l-objet.com. Born in Naples to a family of Italian aristocrats, Francesco Clemente has been called a shaman of the postmodern — an artist whose work is both spiritu al and sexual. His interests in Hindu theology, non-Western culture and symbols, and his own dreamlike visions have led him to create a riotous body of work in a multitude of mediums. He has collab- orated with Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol, as well as local Indian craftsman. And while his style of exper- imental creation can't quite be labeled, it is still quintessentially Clemente. This month, his large-scale masterworks land at Dallas Contemporary in an exhibition that will be nothing short of out-of-body.
