DIVE INTO OUR DIGITAL WORLD PAPERCITYMAG.COM THE DAZZLE S pending time with Kendra Scott can be like getting caught in a whirlwind. It's hard to keep up with the jewelry mogul and philanthropist as she works a room. PaperCity's Megan Ziots tries when Scott swept into Dallas for a day at Children's Health hospital and her store in West Village. After building a billion-dollar company (a business she started by making jewelry in a spare bedroom), Scott shows no signs of slowing down. She will be inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame Wed nesday, October 16, but that's no endpoint. "I feel like we've just scratched the surface," she says. "I'm excited to continue to surprise." Read more at papercitymag.com/kendra-scott. VILLAGE PEOPLE HOTEL PERKS It may not take a village to build a restaurant empire, but it sure helps. The Village Dallas — an apartment complex that dates back to 1968 — is being transformed into a mixed-use development with a hotel, stores, and 12 new restaurants. Yes, 12. And they'll all be led by chef Junior Borges. Borges was Uchi Dallas' fi rst chef and executive chef at FT33 and The Joule. But he's never had a food playground quite like this. The W Los Angeles hotel in West Beverly Hills stations one there with a stylish cocktail caddy that gives new meaning to the mile high club. In the race to wow guests, hotels are getting more and more creative with the perks. The Grand Hyatt Vail has a Moët & Chandon Champagne vending machine in the lobby. Hotel deLuxe in Portland's Goose Hollow neighborhood offers a lavish tea service — for canines and their owners. The Four Seasons in Santa Fe dispatches fi reside butlers, who roast s'mores in your room. Read more at papercitymag.com/ hotel-perks. NEWSLETTER SIGN-UP D on't be the last to get the new PC Daily. Taking care of yourself is in. While Don Draper may have scoffed at an H20 IV, it's a new age. Pampering palaces such as Glow Sauna Studios in Mockingbird Station, Eleven IV in University Park, and OVME Turtle Creek are making an impact with Solocarbon heaters and CoolSculpting. Some of the new saunas even have two- and three-person cabins. Which means you can bring a friend — or two — along to luxuriate in the heat. Read more at papercitymag.com/dallas-spas.
