I couldn't be more excited to welcome fall. After a summer filled with family, friends, and travel, I can't wait to jump back into the daily routine of our busy schedules. The editorial and sales teams are back in the office and have worked around the clock to bring you one of our best fall issues ever. A relaxed "no reservations required" summer was definitely needed, but we're thrilled to have events back on the calendar. Between intimate dinners, philanthropic galas, and in- store cocktail parties, our schedules are filling. See our PaperCity Fall Datebook on pages 42 and 44 for a list of upcoming events through early October. This issue includes the post-coverage of Texas Design Week Houston which took place in May (in person, thankfully!), with a week-long celebration of design. But the design coverage doesn't stop there. Jump in your car (or book a seat on Vonlane) and head north on 45 to Dallas. Texas Design Week Dallas kicks off Monday, September 20, for five days of salon talks, panel discussions, book signings and cocktails with a top-tier roster of national design talent, including Ken Fulk, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Michael S. Smith, Celerie Kemble, Amanda Lindroth, Corey Damen Jenkins, Alexa Hampton, Robert Stilin, Douglas Friedman, Juan Montoya, Ashley Whittaker, Ted Flato of Lake|Flato, Christopher Rothko, de Gournay's Hannah Cecil Gurney, and Aldous Bertram, as well as local talents. The week culminates with the Dallas PaperCity Design Awards Friday, September 24, at Virgin Hotels Dallas, with Alessandra Branca as master of ceremonies. For tickets and full schedule of events, go to texasdesignweek.com. And, while you're in town, stop by Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas, which opens for its second year on Thursday, September 23 (through October 24). See page 28 to learn which national, Dallas and Houston designers made the cut. Cheers to an exciting and eventful fall with everyone staying safe, healthy, and happy. Welcome to September.
