RS MASTERPIECE THEATER S chumacher has enlisted master artisans to make its exciting new Masterpieces collection of rare fabrics and wallcoverings, which are being produced in extremely limited quantities. Royal Silk Embroidery — the collection's debut design — was inspired by an intricately embellished gown festooned with mythical sea creatures and exotic flora and birds, worn by Queen Elizabeth I and captured on canvas in the 16th-century by artist Nicholas Hilliard. It takes a team of 25 artisans, including embroiderers and weavers, 30 weeks to make 100 yards of the coveted fabric, utilizing dying ancient techniques.
