A FASHIONABLE MIND Kate Stukenberg & Jenny Antill Some people just make things happen — and in a very stylish way. Here are 8 whose minds we would love to delve into. And what might we find? Why, everything from Post-Its and Ping-Pong to Run Lola Run. Owner, Women's Fashion Boutique Leap Susan Claffy Jeane Mahie Dana Frank's HUH (HI), 2010 COURTESY OF THE ARTIST AND INMAN GALLERY Zero + Maria Cornejo's Abbey Coat Zero + Maria Cornejo's Daughter's drawing from New York showroom visit Moynat bicycle Humanoid JENNY ANTILL discovered fashioncopious.typepad.com. It's smart and a good way to stay on top of what's going on. Closetvisit.com is also a fun way get a dose of voyeuristic pleasure. If I want the lowdown on the world, I go to nytimes.com. Inspiration: Travel. Getting outside of my own environment sometimes is good way to get a fresh perspective on life. A favorite film: Fritjof Capra's Mindwalk comes to mind. I haven't seen it for 20 years, but I remember it being so inspirational. I'm going to watch it again and see what happens. China Pattern: Rosenthal Bokara when I'm feeling fancy; Iittala Korento when I'm feeling less fancy. Attend three runway shows anywhere in world. The designers are: Chanel for the drama. Prada for the design. And in New York, Rachel Comey — the line Jeane Mahie is so wearable, and it's exciting to watch a young designer come into her own. Collect: Dana ry: Frankfort, one tati S Either Way; her work is shown at Inman Gallery. Humanoid JENNY ANTILL Style Statement: I am very casual. I could make haute couture grocery-store appropriate! Three Things to Covet for Fall: Isabel Marant's embroidered Hippo jacket, anything covered in Suno's hunter toile print and LD Tuttle's The Gaze boot with a cowboy heel. Labels to love: For day, I love to wear Humanoid or Collection by Giada Forte, and in the evenings I wear Zero + Maria Cornejo — it feels modern. Drink of Choice: For day, it's green tea, and for evening, only red wine … old world! Jewels: Jean Mahie. Worth A Visit: My daughter took art classes at Glassell School of Art over the summer. Every time I walk through the building, I am inspired and amazed — it is such a creative, magical environment. Most valued possession: My book collection. Entertain: I like to try and impress friends with vegan or vegetarian dishes at casual get-togethers with lots of flowers and good wine. Favorite Home Store: Kuhl-Linscomb. Linens: Bella Notte linen sheets … so lovely! Reading Online: I've cooled off a bit on the street style blogs, as they have become too formulaic.
