The two-day fund-raiser for The University of Texas MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital began with a champagne shopping preview, where the chicest of bargain hunters enjoyed early access to discounted goodies from more than 50 high-style Houston merchants, including Tenenbaum Jewelers, À Bientôt, and Savannah House. Adding substance to the shopping were special programs from Dr. Richard Gorlick and Dr. Branko Cuglievan of MD Anderson and Zsila Sadighi of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, who conferred on their research programs, and a New Year, New You panel discussion with House of Harper's Caroline Harper Knapp, Switch2Pure's Estela Cockrell, and The Blond Pantry's Marla Murphy.
