ROUND ROUND ABOUT TOP Here and right, Nicolette Mayer Collection S usanne Maida, owner of Round Top Inn, has brought forth a European- inspired bistro and boutique, Boon & Co, which has quickly ascended to hot new-spot status in Round Top. Operator Nate Pineda has created a bright, fresh menu with salads crafted from produce and herbs plucked from the on-site garden, expertly prepared proteins, and hand-tossed wood-fired pizzas. The bar boasts a stellar wine list and cocktails, while excellent bakery goods and to-go cheeses and pantry items make this our own little Dean & DeLuca. For the spring antique shows, Maida brings two home-goods purveyors to the 800-square- foot French orangerie-inspired glass conservatory perched in her stunning gardens: Nicolette Mayer and Phil Luangrath. Mayer, based in Boca Raton, designs opulent wallpaper and fabric for Scalamandré. Her pop-up offers her newly launched HOM wallpaper collection and stunning washable rugs, art for the table such as napkins, placemats, crystal, and acrylic trays, as well as French, Italian and Swedish antiques. And, while Mayer only pops up seasonally, her entire collection will be available through Boon & Co year-round. Offerings from Luangrath include colorful gemstone jewelry, exotic minerals, and home decor. Boon & Co, 206 S. Candice Cowin BOON BOOM ROOM T he Marburger Farm Antique Show has historically taken place during the final week of the Round Top Antiques & Design Show, but this fall the dates will change to the first week of the show: Tuesday through Saturday, October 15 through 19, due to an overlap with High Point. Fall 2024 Round Top Antiques & Design Show dates are October 10 through 27. "We understand our date change has an impact on the broader Round Top community," says Jeremy Buonamici, Marburger co-owner and CEO. "But it's our hope that avoiding High Point dates — many of our dealers and shoppers participate in both — will result in a stronger show across Round Top." We think this could be a very good move.
