The Compound is already known as a must-visit destination for antiques and design shows. Now The Compound will hold a new folk-art festival in June, with the venue's retail barns set up as galleries for prominent folk- art artists and dealers. In July, The Compound hosts its eighth annual Round Top Independence Day Spectacular with fireworks, live music, and food trucks on the lawn. A second art show is in the works for November, with notable artists in the mediums of painting, sculpture, clay, and more from Texas and surrounding states. December promises to be magical at The Compound with the arrival of the Christkindl Market, modeled after the great holiday markets of Europe. The venue will glow with fairy lights winding up its ancient oak trees; vendors selling handmade ornaments and holiday artisan gifts; crackling firepits, festive greenery, warm food, and drinks. roundtopcompound.com.
