Cameron Silver Decades coming to The 550 District T he 550 Market District is busting it, with co-owner Cathy Frietsch ingeniously pairing L.A.'s Decades with French fashion house Balmain. The impossibly chic Cameron Silver — the father of vintage who founded renowned Decades boutique in L.A. — travels the globe in search of vintage couture, dresses stars for the red carpet, has curated a museum exhibition for MOCA, and starred in Bravo's The Dukes of Melrose. "Decades will have an exciting mix of vintage and archival designer fashion inspired by the magic of Round Top," Silver says. Along with Decades, Brett Kane brings French fashion house Balmain to Round Top with a selection of men and women's spring-summer 2024 pre-collection, which is very le cowboy, along with accessories and bags. Decades and Balmain at The 550 District, March 17 – 30. THREE POP-UPS WE'LL BE POPPING OVER TO DECADES AND LE COWBOY THRILL OF THE HUNT W ill Hunt Lewis has honed his eye for design his entire life. He opened his immersive home furnishings, gift, and floral and event studio in the Mississippi Delta before moving to New York for a decades-long career in merchandising for Jonathan Adler, One Kings Lane, and Kravet, where he launched and oversaw the Curated Kravet division. Now he brings Hunt & Bloom to Marburger Farm, fresh from a move to Houston, where he has opened a charming showroom and manages his thriving online store. Lewis' informed ability to colorfully mix old and new through the gracious Southern living lens has us eagerly refreshing his Instagram to see what he will find next, from vintage Imari bowls to hot-pink Staffordshire-style ceramic dogs.
