To help her celebrate the opening, shop decorators and pals Dee Dee Hoak and Ashley Hunt teamed with Rose's fam (mom Deedie Rose and sister-in-law Catherine Rose) to co-host the soirée. Wheeled pieces of décor — a DJ-booth bicycle, Taco Truck tricycle and beach cruisers — were propped throughout the store for Rose, you see, is a bike aficionado. Sans helmets, we spotted: Nicolette Lamont, Carrie Becker, Hallie Lamont, Merry Vose, and Aparna Crosnoe. Naturally, when launching his new book with a fête at Barneys, the dapper creature of habit stayed true to his de rigueur pattern choice: sporting a signature floral buttondown as his party attire. And wherever Doonan goes, the style set follows. Cindy Rachofsky, Kristie Ramirez, Lee Anne Locken, John Reoch and dozens more lined up at the NorthPark Center store, each awaiting his or her chance to meet Doonan, as well as his darling husband — mod-furnishings maven Jonathan Adler. Held at the home of Joanne and husband Charles Teichman, the cause for celebration was a check presentation to The Family Place — the fruitful result of a wildly successful Ylang 23 fund-raiser held several weeks prior at their Galleria Dallas boutique featuring jewelry by Cathy Waterman. The designer and her daughter Claire Kislinger jetted in for the afternoon to lunch with fans such as Robin Ladik, Diane Bradshaw, Lynne Palmeiro, Bill Beringer, and Elizabeth Campbell.
