18 I t is with gratitude that I write this letter, as the response to our magazine's transformation last month was over- whelmingly positive. It feels like our feet are just now hitting the ground, after a whirl of excitement surrounded the debut of our perfect-bound September issue. We couldn't get out the door fast enough when the first copies arrived. Our sales and editorial teams were busy for days, delivering as many issues as possible, anxious to personally share the new PaperCity. You may have even seen editor Christina Geyer zipping around town in a stunning Bentley Bentayga on loan from Park Place, issues in tow. Because what better way to deliver, or receive, a copy than by way of a most luxurious SUV? Then it was on to our launch party on the recently refreshed rooftop terrace at The Joule hotel. DJ Lucy Wrubel, who kept things lively with her music mix, summed it up best saying the party seemed like the first day back at school. We have to agree. The evening was a wonderful celebration of the new — new season; new magazine — surrounded by our most beloved, familiar friends. With the September issue launch festivities behind us, it was time to settle in and create the October issue. I am often asked what sets PaperCity apart, and to start, I always mention our rich editorial created by our very talented team. This month is no exception, from cover to cover. As we dive into October, we're also gearing up for the second year of the PaperCity Dallas Design Awards with Dunhill Partners and Dallas Design District. This month marks the conclusion of the entry period, so submit your projects post haste at papercitymag.com/ designawards no later than October 12. We can't wait to see which stunning entries win top marks from our A-list judges, including architect Bobby McAlpine and designers Jeffrey Alan Marks and Jay Jeffers. All will be revealed next month, at our PaperCity Dallas Design Awards party on November 3. Save the date. With all things new now in full swing, thank you for joining us on the journey. We'll see you on the town. Briana Buxbaum Dallas Publisher briana@papercitymag.com letter publisher STEVEN VISNEAU/SISTERBROTHER MGMT.
