10 letter editor HUNT SLONEM T his letter will be short and sweet, just a few snippets. Summer fever has infiltrated our offices, and the countdown is on. Summer Friday half- days have started in our offices, and the July/August issue is combined … That's 30 days without deadlines. Thirty days for holiday travel. I, of course, have not planned a thing but am thinking San Miguel in a crazy, beautiful house that I will not name until I get my reservation in. I'll publish it in September. Also in June is the Elle Decor A-List celebration in NYC, and the very talented Randy Powers — that's J Randall Powers when in print — is once again on the list, for the sixth year since 2012. I'm also looking forward to several great summer documentaries (see our May issue). Always at The Carlyle premieres June 7 with a private viewing hosted by The Carlyle (which is owned by Rosewood, as is the Mansion on Turtle Creek) and PaperCity. This is sad for Houston, as it will be in Dallas at the very chic and historic Highland Park Village Theatre. Two other documentaries you should catch: That Summer, a long-lost Grey Gardens prequel, and The Gospel According to André (Leon Talley, of course). That's it for June … I'm off for Summer Friday.
