A stylish prelude to the ARD Gala, the Roberto Cavalli boutique in River Oaks District was the first stop in a two-day celebration. Host Ana Paola Diniz founded the Alcides & Rosaura Diniz Foundation in honor of her late father; the ARD Gala, now in its second iteration, raises funds for genome cancer research. Cavalli — a sponsor of the at gala — donated 10 percent of proceeds from the shopping event to genome research at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
