Fundraising extraordinairesses Maggie Kipp and Melinda Knowles chaired Ability Connection's Vine & Dine, where host Steve Kemble brought a dose of sass to the old-school country club. The annual Best Buddies Gala had a bevy of out- of-town celebrities, including Anthony Kennedy Shriver, channeling the 1980s theme in his Miami Vice neon-blue jacket. The organization was founded in 1989, making this the 30th anniversary, so it was a valid wardrobe decision. The M1 Ball had guests drinking, dancing, and bidding high at the Omni Dallas Hotel, and just a few weeks later, Dallas' fi nest slipped on their Blahniks for dinner at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek for ReuNight, supporting The Family Place. Finally, who could forget the night we were in stitches, listening to Steve Martin and Martin Short at A Night To Remember, benefi ting CitySquare. The show, titled "Now You See Them, Soon You Won't," had everyone begging for more. And, yes, now that we've had a moment to catch our breaths, perhaps we'll be begging for more of Dallas' chicest of invites to arrive in our mailboxes. And, yes, now that we've had a moment to catch our breaths, we're eager to be done with the self-isolation and in desperate need of a peck on the cheek.
