we love is Le Coq Rico for a late lunch — the best chicken anywhere other than Kronenhalle in Zurich. Also, La Fontaine de Mars is one of our favorite French brasseries. We love the waiters at Le Voltaire and always have a lovely time there. Jim and I love Brasserie Lipp; it's not for everyone, but we've gone for years. We also love Le Stresa, a great Italian restaurant on the Right Bank. We love Vietnamese food and go to a favorite of Paloma Picasso's called Kim Anh near the Eiffel Tower. For good Indian food, we like Ravi on the Left Bank. On your radar now. Vintage French bamboo pieces (probably from Vietnam) started showing up in Paris eight or so years ago, and I immediately started buying it. At first, no one knew what I was doing, mixing it with every period and style, but it caught on. That's what I look most forward to when shopping in Paris. You'll see things that catch your eye and know this is something you love and want in your shop —inspiration! One that got away. A gorgeous French '40s buffet. Last year, we went to buy in Paris on March 1, just 10 days before COVID hit Paris. We already had a 40-foot container and got home on March 11, just as everything was being closed off. Then we started buying virtually from dealers online. We are planning to go back in October. Exciting piece on the floor now. An amazing Italian bar by Osvaldo Borsani. Next. We started selling our vintage and antiques online, and we have also moved all of Jan Showers Collection into the showroom (previously at David Sutherland).
